Grain based diets provide us with dietary fibre, but it’s mainly the insoluble ‘roughage’ kind, leaving most of us not getting enough of the soluble kind that’s found mainly in fruit, vegetables and seeds. Our Functional Fibre Blend provides one of the richest sources of soluble fibre, with a ratio of 59% soluble to 41% insoluble fibre. Because it’s loaded with dietary fibre, it can help with regular bowel movements when taken as part of a varied and healthy diet, and also acts as a prebiotic.
Due to the nature of Psyllium and Chia, this blend expands into a gel-like consistency in liquid or in our bodies, swelling up to 10 times its original volume. It may assist in decreasing unhealthy food cravings.
Directions: 2 - 3 teaspoons per day, mixed into your choice of drink. Stir briskly and drink promptly. Can also be mixed into smoothies or sprinkled onto food.
